11. Trayvon Mullen, CB Clemson

The Packers don’t necessarily have a huge need at cornerback, especially considering they used their top two draft picks at the position last season. However, Josh Jackson might move to safety and Jaire Alexander is better suited in the slot. Tramon Williams might also move to safety and Kevin King has a quickly growing injury history.

Therefore, using a first-round pick to solidify the position as a couple of former corners slide back in the secondary might not be a bad idea. Mullen has the physical traits to play well in a man system and has all the tools to succeed. He’s the type of player who won’t perform well right off the bat, but if the Packers allow him time to develop, he could become a legit starter in a few years.

10. Clelin Ferrell, EDGE, Clemson

The Packers have a huge need at outside linebacker and they could easily address it with their first pick. Clay Matthews is a free agent and he hasn’t been his self these last couple of seasons. Nick Perry has also struggled and he isn’t a sure thing to be brought back to Green Bay.

Ferrell would be a lot higher on this list if he were a better fit as an outside backer in a 3-4 system. Instead, most scouts see him as a 4-3 defensive end which makes things complicated for the Packers. However, if they see enough of an ability to get after the quarterback, they could ask him to only rush the quarterback as they work on his other skills. His athletic ability makes this a doable task if he’s given the proper time.
