The Milwaukee Bucks were active at the 2019 trade deadline. Let’s check in and update their predictions for the rest of the season.

The Milwaukee Bucks were one of a trio of teams at the top of the Eastern Conference to swing deals at the trade deadline last week. The Bucks acquired forward Nikola Mirotic from the New Orleans Pelicans as part of a three-team deal that also included the Detroit Pistons. Milwaukee sent Thon Maker to Detroit and three second round picks (two via the Washington Wizards) to New Orleans. The Pistons then sent Stanley Johnson and another second to New Orleans.

Mirotic should be a great fit in head coach Mike Budenholzer’s scheme. He’s a nearly 37 percent three-point shooter and will be able to stretch the floor and provide MVP candidate Giannis Antetokounmpo with even more room to work with.

Milwaukee wasn’t the only team to get better, however. The Philadelphia 76ers acquired Tobias Harris and the Toronto Raptors traded for Marc Gasol. Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics are hoping to get healthier and make strides from within.

With all of the moving around at the top of the East, it’s time to set new expectations for the rest of the 2019 season. Here are three bold predictions regarding the Bucks.
