No. 12, Jachai Polite – Edge Rusher, Florida

Early in this draft process, it has been Jachai Polite who has been linked the most to the Green Bay Packers. His versatility as a pass rusher and ability to work well in space would make him a great fit in defensive coordinator Mike Pettine’s 3-4 scheme.

In 2018 as a junior, Polite put up monster numbers. In 13 games he made 45 total tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, four pass deflections, and six forced fumbles. Polite finished as the fourth overall edge rusher with a grade of 91.0 by Pro Football Focus.

No. 30, Noah Fant – Tight End, Iowa

The tight end position is one that has puzzled the Green Bay Packers consistently over the years. Regardless of who they bring in, that individual rarely ends up playing a big role in the offense. However, with new head coach Matt LaFleur, I anticipate the tight end being used much more effectively in his offensive scheme.

Unlike his Hawkeye teammate T.J. Hockenson, Fant is known primarily as a receiving tight end. He can line up anywhere on the field, runs a number of different routes and has very reliable hands. This past season, Fant hauled in 39 catches, averaging 13.3 yards per catch and added seven touchdowns.
