This trade is very simple and makes a ton of sense for both teams. Atlanta should want a guy like Thon Maker who can fit right in with their up-tempo, run and gun style alongside Trae Young and Kevin Huerter.

The Milwaukee Bucks would get Dwayne Dedmon who is good three-point shooter and a much more savvy defender than Maker. Dedmon would also be capable of switching better than Brook Lopez.

A couple of additional bonuses for the Bucks in this trade is that they would open up a roster spot this year for a possible buyout player.  Also, Dedmon would be a good player to try to resign if the Milwaukee Bucks can’t retain Lopez next off-season.  He could provide similar value to what Lopez has provided up to this point in the season.
