3. Packers Wide Receivers vs Each Other

Randall Cobb was on the chopping block the last offseason when it was between him and former Packer Jordy Nelson to open up cap space. Cobb made the cut, and, while Nelson hasn’t been great this season, it’s hard to argue that Cobb has played up to the level necessary to justify his contract. At age 28 in the last year of his contract, Cobb is nearing the end of his prime, and he needs to make a statement now that he deserves at least one more long-term deal.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling was drafted in the fifth round with the possibility of getting on the field to take the top off of the defense and take heat off of Davante Adams. Earlier in the season, he did just that. He had multiple 100-yard games, and he was showing some real promise for a rookie. In the last month, he has just about disappeared, and that connection he had established with Rodgers appears to have disappeared. He needs to remedy that this week.

Equanimeous St. Brown has all the physical tools in the world to be successful in the NFL. He possesses a rare combination of speed and size that makes him a tough cover, but he has to go and make plays when called upon. This could be his chance with a new era dawning in Titletown. Davante Adams is going to get his touches of course, but it will be exciting to see him build on the magnificent season he is putting together.
