The Green Bay Packers have a must-win game against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 12. If they lose these matchups, their season and much more are over.

The Green Bay Packers are 0-5 on the road this season, and, after letting the game against the Seattle Seahawks slip away in Week 11, they are in must-win territory to make the playoffs. The Minnesota Vikings are in a very similar boat right now. At 5-4-1, they need to win nearly all of their remaining games to finish with a playoff seed. The NFC may not be as loaded as was thought, but it’s still pretty stout.

In their Week 2 meeting, the Packers dominated the game for three quarters before they allowed wide receivers Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs to go nuclear late in the game and send it to overtime. Both of these teams are different than they were 10 weeks ago. Multiple season-ending injuries have occurred, and we’ve also seen players, such as running back Aaron Jones and defensive end Danielle Hunter become major players for these teams.

If the Packers lose this game, they are eliminated from the playoffs, and Mike McCarthy’s time as the head coach will likely come to an end this season. For the Vikings, they will still have a shot at the playoffs, but their path will get a whole lot harder. Whichever team loses these matchups will likely lose the game.
