Milwaukee Bucks: 5 things to be thankful for in 2018-19
3. New arena
The NBA threatened to move the Bucks out of Milwaukee if they didn’t secure a new arena. That was one of the immediate tasks the new ownership group was faced with when they purchased the franchize from Herb Kohl. Fortunately, a new arena was built and the team stayed in Milwaukee.
The Fiserv Forum launched this year and is one of the most state of the art arenas in the entire NBA. The wonderful experience it provides to fans along with the product on the court has already done wonders for the Bucks’ attendance this season.
It’s not just the arena itself that is wonderful, but the community like setting around Fiserv that is great. The ownership really wanted to include the larger community and make home games feel like an event available to everyone instead of just those who are inside the games. For a long time, Bucks’ fans had to deal with the Bradley Center, but it feels as if everything has been upgraded at once.
