Milwaukee Bucks: 5 things to be thankful for in 2018-19
4. Competent coaching
For years, the Bucks had a major weakness in their head coach. Night in and night out, Milwaukee walked onto the floor for the opening tip at such a disadvantage. It took a toll on the players and made it appear as if the team would never reach their true potential.
Mike Budenholzer has changed all that. Budenholzer studied for years under Gregg Popovich and was the head man for the Atlanta Hawks over the last few seasons. That experience has seemingly prepared him to maximize his coaching prowess this year with Milwaukee.
Budenholzer has shown the Bucks’ players what it’s like to make in-game adjustments-something that apparently wasn’t happening before. His players also trust him and his message and will go to any length for him. It feels so good to have competent coaching.
