5. Supporting cast

Milwaukee has surrounded superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo with a supporting cast of players that understand their role and know how to get their job done. That’s a huge change from last season when players like Jabari Parker didn’t accept where they fit in the pecking order.

This collection of players around Antetokounmpo may not be the most talented in the league, but they each have a role and do that role well. Milwaukee is able to play floor-spacers in the frontcourt around the Greek Freak in Ersan Ilyasova, Brook Lopez, Thon Maker and now even John Henson. That’s a huge change from the past.

Eric Bledsoe and Khris Middleton then take on the tertiary playmakers and scorers that help the team continue to run smoothly. Middleton is a dead-eye shooter who can also score off the bounce. He’s criminally underrated and a legit All-Star this season. Bledsoe has accepted his lesser role on offense and has picked it up on defense instead. This supporting cast is a great reason to be thankful this holiday season.
