1. The Brewers Enjoy Playing Baseball

The biggest takeaway from this past Brewers season, beyond the record, and the playoff run, or even the awards, is that this is truly a team. They enjoy each other’s company and are always smiling and having fun at the ballpark. They’re playing a kids game and they go into the clubhouse each day like a group of kids playing on the sandlot. Seeing that kind of joy among professional baseball players is infectious and has driven plenty of people to the ballpark to watch a game or play catch.

Seeing the hijinks of Orlando Arcia and Hernan Perez, or the poses of Jesus Aguilar for the dugout camera is a breath of fresh air for a game that sometimes takes itself too seriously. So, let’s be thankful for the Brewers for making baseball fun, and keeping us laughing, cheering, and smiling for each day from March through October. These guys show why the sport will stand the test of time, much like James Earl Jones describes.
