3. Christian Yelich will be the face of the Brewers for a long time.

Signed until 2022, the National League Most Valuable Player and the best trade acquisition in modern Brewer history (sorry CC Sabathia), Christian Yelich has emerged as the face of the franchise and the best all-around player in the National League.

He can win a batting title and hit 35 home runs. He’ll steal 20 bases and play Gold Glove defense at two different outfield positions. And he’ll do it all with the demeanor of someone who just enjoys being at the ballpark and not one who’ll seek to make the spotlight all about him. That’s the type of face the team needs, much like Jonathan Lucroy was before that, and in his youth Ryan Braun, Ben Sheets, or Richie Sexson.

Along the most underrated of outfielders, Yelich’s emergence in Milwaukee has made him a household name and the privilege of watching him patrol the outfield and blasting homers to Bernie’s slide is going to be fun for the next four seasons at least, if not longer.
