5. The Young Brewers Pitchers Have Grown Up Before Our Eyes.

The Brewers got great seasons out of seasoned veterans like Jhoulys Chacin and Wade Miley, but it’ll be the youth of the pitching staff that will carry the Brewers into the next level of contention. With the emergence of elite talents like Corbin Burnes, Freddy Peralta, and Brandon Woodruff likely to enter the rotation, and the return of Jimmy Nelson as the likely ace of the staff next season, the Brewers have potentially their most dangerous rotation in team history.

Add in bullpen arms like Josh Hader (the Trevor Hoffman Award recipient), Corey Knebel, Jeremy Jeffress, and minor league arms in Zack Brown, Trey Supak, Cody Ponce and others, the Brewers are in great shape on the mound.

If they can field a rotation of Nelson, Burnes, Peralta, Chacin, and Woodruff with each of them reaching their ceilings, the Brewers will have a rotation on par with the great Dodgers rotations of recent years and will be a clear-cut favorite to get to the World Series.
