The Green Bay Packers are heading into Thanksgiving with less to be thankful for than they would like. However, there is still plenty to be happy about.

The Green Bay Packers are nowhere near where they had hoped to be at this point in the year. They currently sit at 4-5-1. They have yet to win on the road, and they are in must-win territory right now, but it’s time to take a step back from it all as we head into Thanksgiving. For all of the faults with this team, there are still some bright spots within this organization. Now comes the time to give thanks for those bright spots.

Next season is likely to be very different, as it is very possible that there will be a new head coach for the first time since the 2005 season. For now, though, it is extremely unlikely that the Packers make an in-season coaching change. We’re going to enjoy what could be the end of the Mike McCarthy era. As the season winds down, whether the Packers are in the playoffs or not, let’s enjoy the good things that we have had this season.

We’ve seen breakouts from rookies and veterans. We’ve also seen continued development that is showing what is in the future of this team when they have a new system in place. This is the time to be thankful and that’s what we’re going to do. Without any further stalling, let us give thanks for the 2018-19 Green Bay Packers.
