Green Bay Packers: 5 players to consider in first round of 2019 NFL Draft

5. Dalton Risner, OL, Kansas State

Dalton Risner has the versatility necessary to play a number of positions along the offensive line in the NFL. And that’s a great thing considering the potential openings the Packers could have. The only sure things Green Bay has is David Bakhtiari and Corey Linsley. After them, everyone is disposable.

Risner is fundamentally sound and has the potential to be an immediate starter for the Packers. His flexibility would also allow the Packers to try him at a number of positions, most notably left and right guard.

Even though drafting an offensive lineman isn’t always a sexy pick, it is a necessary one. Aaron Rodgers has been under a lot of pressure, especially interior pressure, this season and Green Bay would be wise to address it during the final years of his career.
