Green Bay Packers: 5 reasons 2018 has been a disaster

3. Aaron Rodgers isn’t himself

Rodgers still makes a couple of insanely good plays every game, but his level of play outside of those has gone down considerably this season. Whether it be due to age or his lingering knee injury, something is just off about Rodgers and he hasn’t been himself this season.

Rodgers is only completing 61.1 percent of his passes this season which is the second-lowest of his career. His mobility is also depleted, as he gets caught from behind more often than we’ve ever seen before. Even when he has time, Rodgers has been missing open receivers all over the field and routinely passes up on easy dump offs in search of finding a big play out of nothing.

With the Packers struggling in other areas, Rodgers hasn’t been able to rescue them as he has in previous seasons. Even though that’s frustrating to watch as a fan, it’s the reality most NFL franchises deal with on a weekly and yearly basis.
