Green Bay Packers: 5 reasons 2018 has been a disaster

5. No commitment to the run game

The Packers have one of the most dynamic running backs in the entire NFL and fail to use him on a consistent basis. Yes, Aaron Jones might not be up there with the likes of a LeVeon Bell, but he’s still very talented in his own right.

Unfortunately, neither Mike McCarthy nor Aaron Rodgers (or whoever is responsible for calling the plays that actually get run) are able to feed Jones. Despite leading for most of the game against the Seahawks, Jones only had 11 carries with four of them coming in the second half and that is more the norm than an outlier.

The Packers become one-dimensional and completely predictable by totally ignoring one of the most talented players on their roster. Ever since he returned from his suspension in Week 3, the Packers have criminally underused Jones and it’s one of the biggest reasons why this year has been such a disappointment.
