The Green Bay Packers’ 2018 season is quickly turning into disaster territory and these five reasons are primarily to blame.

The life seemed to be sucked out of the Green Bay Packers’ 2018 season after another frustrating loss in a long line of frustrating losses. For weeks on end now, the Packers have been so close to busting out and getting a signature victory that could spark their season. But time and time again, they fall short and end up in a “what could have been” situation.

It happened against the Los Angeles Rams when the Packers fumbled a kickoff return and lost any chance they had at a comeback. It happened at the New England Patriots when Green Bay again fumbled in the fourth quarter and were unable to get out of their own way after that.

On Thursday night against the Seattle Seahawks, the Packers decided to punt on a fourth-and-two and give the ball back to the number one rushing offense in the NFL. After a couple of first downs by Seattle, Green Bay’s offense never saw the field again.

At 4-5-1, the Packers have a very slim chance of playing this postseason and would likely need a lot of help even if they win out. When they ultimately miss the playoffs, it will be for the second straight season and for the first time when Rodgers has been “fully healthy” since he originally took over the starting duties in 2008. That qualifies this year as a disaster.
