1. Packers run offense vs Seahawks run defense

On a per attempt basis, this is another very intriguing matchup. The Packers lead the league in yards per carry average, and the Seahawks are a bottom five group in yards per carry allowed. Aaron Jones has been kept caged up all season long. His season-high is just 15 carries which is just far too low. For a guy that currently has the lead for yards per carry average in all of NFL history, he needs to be receiving at least 20 touches every single week.

Behind Jones is Jamaal Williams who is a good change of pace back. He is a great pass-protector, and he does well in short-yardage situations due to his strength in straight-line running. Unfortunately for Williams, he’s behind Jones, but he has done well in his role this season. Against blitzers like All-Pro Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright, his pass-blocking will be very important to give Rodgers the time to throw.

If the Packers feed the ball to Jones at least 20 times, they can slow down a Seahawks offense that can score points in a hurry. It also opens up the play-action pass when Rodgers is so deadly. The only thing that has slowed their run offense down this season has been their inability to come out and play well. If they do that this week, we could see a huge game for Jones.
