6. Josh Jones

Ah, yet another Ted Thompson early round pick appearing on this list. Josh Jones, a second-round selection in 2017, has been disappointing from the start of training camp. Jones was supposedly in a battle with Kentrell Brice for the starting safety position opposite Ha Ha Clinton-Dix in August, but it appears he never even came close.

The Packers announced early in the preseason that Brice would be the starter and Jones quickly slid down the depth chart. That slide was just the beginning has Jones has spent almost all of the season strictly on special teams and not even seeing the field on defense.

The good news for Jones is that all should be changing now. The Packers traded Clinton-Dix two weeks ago and cut Jermaine Whitehead after he was ejected in New England last Sunday. With Green Bay quickly running out of safeties, the Packers will have no choice but to play Jones. That could be a good or a bad thing depending on how the North Carolina State alumni reacts.
