9. Reggie Gilbert

Reggie Gilbert is another player who had a lot of hype surrounding him entering the season. When Packers’ general manager Brian Gutekunst stood pat at the outside linebacker position, some analysts pointed to Gilbert’s emergence as being the reason why. Unfortunately, he’s been just another jersey for Green Bay.

Similar to the rest of the Packers’ outside linebackers, Gilbert has disappeared for long stretches of games. Through eight games this year, he has accrued 21 tackles and 1.5 sacks to go along with six quarterback hits.

Although Gilbert’s rise from an undrafted free agent to a practice squad player to a regular contributor in the Packers’ rotation is a good one, he likely wouldn’t make most teams. He’s lucky the Packers have such a void at his position because he’s failed to capture the momentum he had going last summer.
