1. Nick Perry

I wish Nick Perry was on the same track as Cobb and Matthews as veterans who were in the last year of their deals and who Green Bay could easily move on from after this season. Unfortunately, the exact opposite is True. Perry still has three years remaining. The Packers have a potential out after 2020, but it would require them to eat $7.4 million in dead money.

Perry, a first-round pick back in 2012, has always had the potential that has been so enticing for the Packers’ front office. He flashed that potential in 2011 when he racked up a career-high 11 sacks and intelligently used that to sign a new five-year deal with the Packers.

Unfortunately, Perry’s struggled with injuries that plagued him the first four years of his career continued after the signing of his new contract. Even worse, Perry has been healthy this season, but hasn’t been able to produce. He’s accrued just 1.5 sacks and three quarterback hits on the year.

The Packers are paying Perry a ton of money to be a difference maker in the backfield. Unfortunately, most fans have a hard time even knowing when he’s on the field because of his penchant for disappearing. All of this has led to Perry being the most disappointing Packer in 2018.
