5. Wade Miley

Miley is technically a free agent so this isn’t cheating. The journeyman had a career year for the Brewers last season and could be interested in doing it again for Milwaukee. Even though the Brewers lost their pitching coach, Miley would still be a nice get for them.

The Brewers will certainly go after a couple of starters this season and Miley makes perfect sense. He’ll be 32-years-old heading into next season and proved he still has a lot left in the tank. Even if he doesn’t have as great of a season as he did in 2018, Milwaukee would still be glad to take him back.

It would all come down to salary and how much Miley is looking to cash in. He only made $2.5 million last season, but that number will certainly go up. It would be perfectly okay for the Brewers to bring Miley back for a season or two at around $6 million per.
