3. Packers defensive line vs Rams offensive line

The Packers defensive line was viewed as the strength of their defense coming into the season. That’s held true thus far, and it will need to be their strength on Sunday afternoon. The Rams have a quarterback that can pick the team apart if he has time in the pocket. They also have an MVP-caliber running back in Todd Gurley that just needs a slight seam to take a ball to the house.

Despite the absence of free agent addition Muhammad Wilkerson, the Packers have gotten great production out of Dean Lowry, who has been the 19th overall interior defender per Pro Football Focus. However, across from them will be arguably the best offensive line in football. Defensive coordinator Mike Pettine has shown the ability to generate pressure with this defense, but this might be his toughest test yet.

Kenny Clark remains one of the most underrated interior defenders in the NFL, and he will be matched up with the best interior defender on the other side in Aaron Donald. If Clark plays well matched up against the elite guards opposite him, he will firmly entrench himself in that conversation. However, if the Packers defensive line gets pushed around, the Rams offense will start putting up points in a hurry.
