5. Packers wide receivers vs Rams cornerbacks

The Packers wide receivers are one of the more inconsistent groups behind star Davante Adams. On any given week, anyone on the depth chart can light up opposing defenses. However, they can also disappear at times which hinders Rodgers, Adams and the offense as a whole. This week will be a good test of their abilities as they match up with multiple pro bowlers across from them. With the Rams fierce pass rush, they will also have to get open to give Rodgers someone to throw to.

Marcus Peters has struggled the past few weeks compared to the reputation that he has been building over the past few years. He is still one of the best ball-hawking corners in the NFL, but he doesn’t shadow opposing receivers. He will guard whoever is across from him, but the Rams best option to slow down the Packers passing offense is Nickell Robey-Coleman, who is currently ranked as the ninth-best corner in football.

If the Packers receivers are able to get open, the Packers can keep up with this high-flying Rams offense. However, if they struggle like we have seen in the Packers two losses this year, then the Rams can get out to a lead and allow running back Todd Gurley to work the clock. This is a huge matchup for the Packers in this game that can set the pace for the rest of their season.
