Green Bay Packers: 9 trade targets available before the trade deadline
9. Cedric Ogbuehi, offensive tackle, Cincinnati Bengals
Ogbuehi wouldn’t start for the Packers, but he would provide them with some nice depth and insurance for this season and beyond. Ogbuehi started 25 games from 2016-17, but is mostly a backup in Cincinnati at this point. Furthermore, he has yet to play a snap yet this season.
With Bryan Bulaga typically struggling with injuries, Ogbuehi could provide some nice insurance for when he goes down. When Bulaga has had to miss time this season, the Packers have moved starting right guard Byron Bell to right tackle and then brought in Lucas Patrick off the bench. Ogbuehi could immediately step in that spot and allow Bell to stay at guard.
Of course, Ogbuehi is a free agent at the end of this season so Green Bay would have to make a decision about whether or not to keep him. That will also drive the asking price down for the former first round pick, as teams aren’t going to want to give up a whole lot for half a season of a backup offensive lineman.
