Green Bay Packers: 9 trade targets available before the trade deadline
The Green Bay Packers could use a boost to their team in order to survive their difficult schedule these next few weeks. Could any of these players help?
In the past, it was 100 percent safe to say the Green Bay Packers would never make a trade during the season or specifically right at the trade deadline. In fact, trades are rarer in the NFL than any of the other major four sports.
However, this season is different. We can’t safely rule out a trade possibility this season with general manager Brian Gutekunst calling the shots. He’s already proven to use all available measures to improve his team. Whether that be through trade (DeShone Kizer) or mid-season signings (Bashaud Breeland), Gutekunst will do whatever it takes.
That’s why, with the NFL trade deadline fast approaching on Oct. 30, it’s somewhat realistic to look at potential trade targets the Packers could look at acquiring. There are an unusual number of names available and a few the Packers might consider if the price is right.
It’s important to note Green Bay does hold an extra first round pick from their draft night trade with the New Orleans Saints. Even though it’s looking like it will be at the end of the first round, it’s still an extra asset the Packers don’t typically have. It’s unknown if Gutekunst would part with that pick, but it does give the Packers extra ammunition. So, without further ado, here are nine potential trade targets the Packers could acquire before the deadline.
