2. A Weaker East

This offseason, there were a lot of moves made, causing the East to weaken just a bit. The Cleveland Cavaliers of course lost Lebron James, who signed with the Los Angeles Lakers. And the biggest trade of the year involved two guys. DeMar Derozan, who is now in San Antonio playing for the Spurs, and Kawhi Leonard, who is now playing for the Raptors in Toronto. There were also no moves at all that made teams go backwards. And during that time, the Bucks moved forward.

Just the loss of Lebron is a huge impact. But with DeMar gone as well, it’s going to really help the Bucks going into the 2018-19 season. With the Cavaliers losing their entire team, and teams like the Heat, Timberwolves and Pistons staying the same or not making any big moves, the Bucks could move up a few spots in the East. Yes, the Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics and the Toronto Raptors are going to be a challenge every time they play them this season. But with new coaching, an upgrade at the center position, new faces coming off the bench, the Bucks have the ability to beat any team that comes their way. Mark my words, the 2018-19 season is going to be pretty special for Milwaukee.
