4. A Modern Center

The NBA has changed a lot when it comes to the skill set of players. Especially with the center position. Players like DeMarcus Cousins, Karl Anthony-Towns, Nikola Jokic, AND Brook Lopez are stretching the court. These big men in the NBA are showing they aren’t just guys that sit in the paint, try to get boards, and score in the post. Lots of these “modern centers” are deciding to shoot from mid range and shoot behind the three point line. Lots of teams have a guy like that on their team. And finally, so do the Milwaukee Bucks.

Bucks center’s could never shoot. Greg Monroe would stick with the mid range. John Henson tries to shoot the mid range and could be a threat this season, but he hasn’t proven it. But now with Brook Lopez, we have a “modern” center. He shot about 35% from three last season with the Lakers, which is considered average for a regular player, but above average for a big man. Someone that will grab boards on the both sides, play defense and have the ability to score everywhere, makes a huge impact on the court. With defenses worrying about this, it will open holes for players like Giannis, Middleton, Bledsoe and the rest of the Bucks squad.
