Strengths

The Bucks have aspirations to earn homecourt advantage in the first round of the playoffs and ultimately advance out of that round. In order to do so, they must rely on these strengths to get them there.

Wings: The Bucks have a plethora of wings they can turn to and each one brings something unique to the table. Middleton, Snell, Brogdon and Brown figure to see the most playing time and each can spread the floor to the three-point line. Antetokounmpo might also see some playing time on the wing when the Bucks go extremely big with Ilyasova at power forward.

Starting five: The Bucks’ starting five should allow them to get off to fast starts. Every player can get their own shot and can spread the floor giving Antetokounmp max space to work with. Even though some players like Brogdon will have to sacrifice touches, it will force the defense to guard every player and every inch of the floor.

Three-point shooters: I can’t believe I’m writing this in the strengths category, but it appears to be true following the preseason. During the four exhibition games the Bucks played, they ranked third in three-point attempts per 100 possessions (37.1) and third in three-point percentage (41.0). That should carry over into the regular season.
