Outfielders

Christian YelichYelich got off to a great start in Game 1, going 2-for-3 and either scored or drove in all three runs the Brewers scored. He cooled off in Games 2 and 3, but still finished with a .571 on-base percentage.

Grade: B

Lorenzo Cain: Cain is probably the Brewer who is most excited to be moving on from Colorado. It was a nightmarish series, as he only batted .083 with a .214 on-base percentage. Cain didn’t collect his first hit until Game 3. Only his defense brings his grade up.

Grade: D+

Ryan Braun: Braun had a pretty good series despite striking out four times in 13 at-bats. During those occasions, he looked completely lost and didn’t stand a chance. However, he also had his moments where he was just crushing the ball. He finished 5-for-13 and would likely have had another hit in there had Yelich not had a baserunning error. Oh, and speaking of baserunning errors-Braun may have cost Milwaukee two runs in this series.

Grade: B-

Keon Broxton: Broxton was on the roster because of his defensive prowess. However, he got limited opportunities to show that off so he had to make his presence felt in other ways. Broxton unloaded for a solo home run in Game 3 and got his first hit in two at-bats for the series.

Grade: B

Domingo Santana: Everyone has a role to play for the Brewers and Santana is their pinch-hitter extraordinaire. Unfortunately, he got off to a slow start. Santana drew one walk and went 0-for-2 in his three pinch-hit at-bats.

Grade: C

Curtis Granderson: Granderson had a couple of big opportunities in this game and sort of capitalized on one of them. While he was at the plate in Game 3, the Brewers scored one run off a balk and another off a passed ball. Granderson would go on to strike out, but the damage was already done.

Grade: C-
