The Milwaukee Brewers took advantage of some dominant pitching and swept the Colorado Rockies in the NLDS. Let’s grade their performances.

The Milwaukee Brewers have pulled off the unthinkable. They’ve rattled off 11 straight victories dating back to the regular season and have now advanced to the National League Championship Series. Their latest victory was a 6-0 romping of the Colorado Rockies to provide Milwaukee with a sweep.

The Brewers will be able to rest their team, as their next game isn’t slated until Friday. Who they play remains to be determined, as the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers are still battling it out.

Back to this improbable win streak. In order to get to where they are at, Milwaukee has needed every single one of their victories.

They swept the St. Louis Cardinals in St. Louis, all but knocking them out of Wild Card contention. Milwaukee then went home and took care of the lowly Detroit Tigers in order to tie the Chicago Cub in the standings for the National League Central.

The tie-breaker was then a one-game showdown in Chicago. The Brewers proved ready, as they handled the Cubs and sent their rival to the one-game Wild Card against the Rockies. As Chicago was busy losing that game as well, Milwaukee was back home getting some rest. That rest certainly showed, as the Brewers swept the Rockies and only allowed two runs in 27 innings.

As the Brewers prepare for the winner of the Braves-Dodgers series, we will take a look back and grade the Brewers’ individual performances in the NLDS.
