The Milwaukee Brewers completed their sweep of the Colorado Rockies on Sunday winning 6-0. Here are all the highlights and reactions from the game.

The Milwaukee Brewers swept the Colorado Rockies on Sunday to move onto the National League Championship series. The Brewers won 6-0, blanking the Rockies for the second straight game and ensuring they only gave up runs in one of the 27 innings these two teams played.

The Brewers will begin the NLCS on Monday, but before we look ahead, let’s take some time to appreciate this victory. Here are all of the highlights from the Brewers’ series-clinching victory over the Rockies.

The Brewers got on the board right away in the top of the first inning. With runners on the corners, Travis Shaw was able to drive one run in on a fielder’s choice. The Brewers struggled in this situation earlier in the series so it’s nice to see them at least manufacture one run here.

Jesus Aguilar got his first hit of the series with this solo bomb. The Brewers are going to need Aguilar to come up big like this in the NLCS.

Eric Kratz was a machine in this one, going 3-for-4 with one double and one run scored. He hit a shot off the wall earlier in the game, but it only resulted in a single. It was nice to see him get all the way to second base this time around.

Things got crazy in the top of the sixth. With runners on second and third, Scott Oberg tried to flip the baseball from his glove to his hand while he was on the mound. Needless to say, he dropped the ball resulting in a balk. The runner from third scored and Krats, who was on second, moved to third. A couple of pitches later, a passed ball scored Kratz to give the Brewers a 4-0 lead.

With Milwaukee leading 4-0 heading into the top of the ninth, a couple of more runs would be nice. And that’s exactly what happened. Orlando Arcia started the inning with a solo shot. On the very next pitch, Keon Broxton got in on the action by blasting the Brewers third solo shot of the day.

Overall, it was a great series by the Brewers. Even though they didn’t have their best hitting performances, they were able to generate enough runs to win ball games. Their starting pitching and bullpen were lights out and Milwaukee makes a dangerous opponent in the NLCS, as they hold home-field advantage.
