1. Aaron Rodgers

This may seem like an obvious choice, but Rodgers being in the spotlight reigns true even more than ever this week. Yes, the Lions are last in the NFL against the run, but McCarthy and the Packers have never been able to show they can commit to the run. Why would that change this week?

More than likely, the Packers will favor the pass and will air it out a lot more than they try to pound it on the ground. When you combine that with the lack of health at the receiving position, that means Rodgers will be asked to do more than usual.

Rodgers may look out and see three rookie receivers on any given play, only one of which has seen an NFL field in the regular season so far. That is a monumentally tall task for any quarterback, even the former MVP.

Still, Rodgers should have a pretty good game and the Packers will likely need that out of him. He’ll need to shake the rust off from last week and get back into a rhythm and groove. With a brutal schedule following the bye, Green Bay must take advantage of their soft schedule these next couple of weeks.
