1. Brewers’ sweep

All of these factors add up to one thing; a Brewers’ sweep.

Milwaukee is well-rested and has plenty of confidence coming into this series (just ask the Cubs) to falter this early in the postseason. They appear to be clicking on a number of cylinders on offense to generate just enough runs to squeeze by.

When it comes to their pitching, the starters know they only have to get through the fifth inning before handing it off to Milwaukee’s excellent pen. That number might even shift to the fourth given the way the divisional series is set up where the teams play two games before having one day off.

It’s been a long time since Milwaukee has had playoff baseball, but that doesn’t mean the team isn’t ready. They’ll lean on guys like Ryan Braun and Lorenzo Cain to set the tone in the club house and on the field. The younger guys also appear ready for the moment and aren’t shell-shocked by the environment. Get ready for an exciting NLDS!
