3. No Jeremy Jeffress

Something is going on with All-Star reliever Jeremy Jeffress and nobody is quite sure what. Jeffress was unavailable for a couple of games last week due to tightness in his neck. He was then apparently unavailable in Game 163 against the Cubs for an unknown reason.

Jeffress has said on Twitter that he’s good to go for the NLDS, but there’s just something surrounding his situation that seems off. All of these question marks surrounding the Brewers’ No. 1 reliever make me worried about his availability in the upcoming series.

The Brewers’ franchise is one that the value the person over the player. If there’s something personal or medical going on with Jeffress, general manager David Stearns and manager Craig Counsell won’t push Jeffress. Even if it means taking a big hit to their bullpen, they’ll do what’s best for Jeffress the person.
