4. Christian Yelich bats .400 for the series

Christian Yelich finished the season on fire. He surged ahead of the pack and captured the NL batting title for the first time in Brewers’ history with a .326 average. Expect that production to continue in the NLDS.

Yelich was simply unstoppable down the stretch, collecting two or more hits in eight of his final 15 games. He could’ve had more if teams such as the St. Louis Cardinals didn’t strictly avoid him. This production at the top of the order, along with Lorenzo Cain’s great on-base percentage, has been the spark plug all season for the Brewers. When those two get on base, great things happen.

The Rockies don’t have the most dominating pitching staff in the MLB which means Yelich will be able to eat. Although Colorado is likely to pitch around him, expect Yelich to pick his spots and continue drilling the baseball when he sees a pitch he likes.
