Green Bay Packers: Grading the offense at the quarter point
After four games, the Green Bay Packers have played a fourth of their schedule. Let’s grade every single player who has stepped on the field for the offense.
The Green Bay Packers have completed one-fourth of their 2018 NFL schedule. That means it’s time to whip out the grades. Here, we’ll take a look at how every single player has fared and use the Pro Football Focus rating system to help determine how to hand out individual grades throughout the first four games.
As you may know, Pro Football Focus pays their analyst to grade each player on every single play based on the same criteria. That then helps give us information about how each player has fared. It’s not a perfect system by any means, but it’s a great way to learn information.
Even though the Packers are 2-1-1 and in second place in the NFC North, things could have gone either way through the first four games. They could easily be 1-3, 4-0 or anywhere in between.
The biggest reason for the somewhat rocky start has been inconsistency. It’s been maddening. The Packers offense has put together a few good quarters here and there with their defense doing the same. However, they’ve never been able to do it consistently over a whole game (minus the defense against the Buffalo Bills).
The good news is they’ve shown they can do it, now they just have to put it all together. While Green Bay is trying to figure that all out, let’s grade each and every player who has stepped on the field for them so far in the 2018 season.
