2. Packers D-Line vs Bills O-Line

The Packers defense has been able to generate pressure this season, as they have in years past, but they continue to struggle at generating sacks. They rank tied for 25th in the NFL with only six sacks. While veterans like Cousins and Smith are good at reading pressure and moving in the pocket, Allen is still working on developing that skill. The Bills offensive line is worse than it was last season, so he is working at a disadvantage as things stand currently.

A key matchup to watch in this game will be Kenny Clark and Mike Daniels vs the interior of the Bills’ offensive line. Clark and Daniels are a two-man wrecking crew that can get into the backfield and in the face of Allen. They also can use their strength to push their blockers into Allen’s lap, which gives the edge rushers more time to get home. Muhammad Wilkerson is unfortunately out for the season, but Clark and Daniels can make up for his absence this week.

After a brutal Week 1, Clay Matthews has consistently improved in the past two weeks. While he is not the one-man wrecking crew he was earlier in his career, he still represents an athletic force that opposing teams must account for. If it weren’t for some, questionable at best roughing the passer calls, Matthews would have a lot more positive press right now. He can do some special things, and he could very easily have a vintage game this weekend.
