3. Byron Bell

Justin McCray began the season as the starting right guard for the Packers after moving all over the offensive line last season. The stability was supposed to be good for McCray and allow him to lock into one position and master it.

Unfortunately, the results have been very up and down so far this season. McCray has struggled in a couple of games and suffered a shoulder injury against Washington last week. That shoulder injury is set to keep him out in Week 4, paving the way for Byron Bell to become the starter at right guard.

Bell was a late addition by general manager Brian Gutekunst. He was originally slated to play tackle, but the Packers quickly discovered he’s more suited for guard. Bell will be asked to step into this offensive line and possibly play alongside another backup at right tackle. Giving Rodgers time and creating running room for the backs will be key aspects for the Packers.
