The staff of Dairyland Express predicts the Green Bay Packers at Washington Redskins in Week 3 of the NFL season. The Packers are favored by three.

Each week the staff of Dairyland Express gives their prediction on this week’s game. In Week 1, the staff stayed in huge homer mode and went all Green Bay Packers. Week 2 showed some adversity, but ended in a kissing your sister -tie.

How will the staff lean this week, with a still less than 100 percent Aaron Rodgers and no clue on how to properly tackle a quarterback?

Read ahead to find out!

TJ Bain:

Packers are coming off a controversial tie against the Vikings in week 2. QB Aaron Rodgers knee is still not 100% and the Packers O-line has already allowed 8 sacks on the season. Green Bay will need to protect Rodgers on Sunday against a Redskins team that loves to blitz. Packers offense will get a boost in the running game with the return of Aaron Jones, who was serving a two-game suspension. The Redskins defense in the red zone is one of the league worst, so look for Jimmy Graham to have a big game. QB Alex Smith will have to break away from his usual ways of throwing short passes to beat the Packers. Redskins must get RB Adrian Peterson more involved in the running game than they did last week against the Colts. Even with an injured Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay’s offense will still be too much for the Redskins. This could be a close game depending on the knee of Rodgers but I believe the Packers will win.

My final score prediction: Packers (1-0-1) 28 Redskins (1-1) 14.

Michael Wendlandt:

With the offense healthy and Aaron Jones back, the Packers are in good shape to take advantage of an overachieving Washington defense. Between the three-headed running game and a slowly healthier Aaron Rodgers, the Packers offense should be able to start strong and carve up Washington.

Defensively, much like last week, the Redskins’ interior offensive line is struggling and banged up, which could lead to some big-time plays from the Packers defensive line. And the weapons outside for Washington aren’t even close to the caliber or either Minnesota or Chicago. If Oren Burks can help neutralize Jordan Reed and/or Chris Thompson, the Packers should win and win comfortably.

Packers win 31-20

Gage Bridgford:

The Green Bay Packers head to Washington to take on the Redskins as they look to bounce back from their week 2 meltdown. Aaron Rodgers will be playing, as well as, Aaron Jones should be returning. Washington will be looking to shake off the brutal loss to the Indianapolis Colts last week. The Redskins defense still has some room to grow, and they will get beat up by Rodgers and the Packers offense this week.

Final Score Prediction

Green Bay 27, Washington 13

Josh McPeak:

Tim Boyle is inactive for the Packers today. That leads one to believe Aaron Rodgers knee is definitely headed in the right direction. Aaron Jones also returns, giving Rodgers another weapon with his limited mobility. Kevin King is another inactive player today. If last week is any indication, that is a huge loss for the secondary. Keep an eye on Nick Perry today. The critics have been on his back in a big way this season and rightfully so. If Rodgers is 100%, the Packers would win this one easy. However, with a less than 100% Rodgers and the game being played in DC, it stays relatively close.

Packers: 30 Redskins: 21

Brian Sampson:

The weather is supposed to be awful in Washington for the game which could make it a low scoring affair. The Packers are also only three-point favorites so Vegas is expecting a close game. With that being said, Aaron Jones is returning so hopefully the Packers can get there running game going and pull out their second victory of the year.

Packers: 24, Redskins: 21
