Grades

Offense-D+: The Packers offense got off to a very slow start in the first half, something that’s becoming a bit of a pattern for them this season. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to turn it around later in the game either.

Randall Cobb had the worst game of his career. He dropped a third-down pass on the first series that would’ve given the Packers a first down and another in the second half on fourth down. Both were easy catches. Later, he fumbled a wide receiver screen that all but put a cap on the Packers attempted comeback. Lance Kendricks also dropped a wide open deep ball down the sideline.

They also had numerous holding penalties and were always a beat or two off. The Packers have a lot of things to clean up heading into Week 4.

Defense-C: It was a tale of two halves for the Packers’ defense. After Washington only scored one touchdown all last week, they dropped four on the Packers’ heads in the first half. The safeties were atrocious once again and were the culprit for a lot of big plays given up.

Defensive coordinator Mike Pettine must’ve made some adjustments at halftime, as they held Washington to just a field goal in the second half. The unit wasn’t always dominant nor pretty, but they did enough to get the job done. Hopefully, the second half defense can show up for a whole game next week.

Special Teams-C: The special teams unit capped off a trifecta of underwhelming performances for Green Bay. Long snapper Hunter Bradley had a few bad snaps and he might be looking for a job after this week. Rookie punter J.K. Scott was busy and was actually quite good all day long. He was the lone bright spot for a unit that was also flagged multiple times.
