3. Zack Baun

The Badgers’ stud outside linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel is questionable for the game on Saturday night which makes Zack Baun even more important. Baun is the other starter at outside linebacker and is usually the one who’s struggled to stay healthy. However, he’s proven just how talented he is when he can stay on the field.

Even though he’s failed to rack up a sack through the first three games of his redshirt junior season, Baun has been stout in the run game. He has 14 total tackles on the year and routinely sets the edge on running plays.

Baun will have to up his game at getting after the quarterback. That starts on Saturday night and should continue through the rest of the season. If the Badgers want to help their young secondary, they must start getting after the quarterback more tenaciously. That begins and ends with Baun.
