3. Green Bay Corners vs Washington Receivers

Kevin King is not expected to play this week, which could force the Packers to roll with Davon House more than they’d like. Rookies Jaire Alexander and Josh Jackson have played well, and they are only getting better. However, they still have room to grow. The Redskins receivers leave something to be desired, but there is still a lot of talent there. Jamison Crowder is one of the best slot guys in the league, while Josh Doctson is a high potential deep threat.

It will be interesting to see what lineup of guys Mike McCarthy and Mike Pettine role with on Sunday. While the youth movement still has room to develop, they are better athletically and overall than House. Tramon Williams should still start and play, but the rookies should play over House in 3-wide sets. They match up better to Crowder, Doctson and Paul Richardson far better than House.

When looking at last week’s game, it was some unfortunate penalties and poor coverage that ultimately led to the tie. All of the top three Redskins’ receivers have good speed, and they can get behind the defense in a hurry. Kentrell Brice had a brutal game this week, and the corners will be counting on him to correct it this week in deep ball situations. If Smith has time to throw, his receivers will get open, so the corners need to let the pass rushers get home.
