5. Green Bay Receivers vs Washington Corners

Josh Norman was arguably the best cornerback in football two seasons ago. Per Pro Football Focus, Quinton Dunbar is the best cornerback in football so far this season. Behind those two, there are a lot of question marks, which could mean a big game for Geronimo Allison or even rookie wideout Marquez Valdes-Scantling. These Green Bay receivers had decent games against Minnesota last week, and their numbers could be even better this week.

Davante Adams had some unfortunate drops last week, as well as, some questionable calls against him. This could be his bounce back week, as the Redskins don’t do shadow coverage, which should give him several favorable matchups. The Packers have also started doing a better job of scheming receivers open, which helps all of them. Adams and Randall Cobb are excellent after the catch, so we should see plenty of them getting the ball early to let them work.

Norman hasn’t been the same since he left the friendly Carolina Panthers scheme that brought him to his new life in Washington. He still has the potential, but he hasn’t been that guy. Dunbar grades well, but he has to show that he can maintain that play over a full season. Rodgers has exposed his fair share of depth corners in the past, so this could be another one of those weeks if he sees man coverage more often than not.
