5 free agents the Milwaukee Bucks missed out on
2. Rodney Hood
Rodney Hood had one of the most polar opposite seasons a player could have. When he was with the Utah Jazz for the first 39 games of the season, he averaged 21.8 points per 36 minutes. However, following a midseason trade in which he was sent to the Cleveland Cavaliers, that average plummeted to 15.4. His playing time also decreased severely.
Oddly enough, he shot a lower percentage in Utah, but he just struggled to adapt to playing alongside a superstar in LeBron James. Still, we’re talking about a player who’s proven he score in the NBA and one who has ideal size to defend multiple positions. Hood would’ve been a great addition to the Bucks’ bench and given them another wing with ideal three-and-D potential.
After spending most of the summer unsigned, he agreed to a one-year, $3.5 million deal with the Cavs. That would’ve been a great risk for Milwaukee to take to see if Hood can recapture his confidence with the Bucks.
