3. Offensive line play

The Washington defensive line and front-seven can give many teams fits. They run a 3-4 base and run it well. Players like Jonathan Allen, Matthew Ioannidis, Fabien Moreau and rookie first-round pick Da’Ron Payne anchor the unit. They take up a lot of blockers and allow the linebackers to run free.

That’s when players such as Ryan Kerrigan, Preston Smith, Zach Brown and Mason Foster can roam free and do their damage. Kerrigan is the main player to know, especially in the pass rush.

Fortunately for the Packers, their offensive line has put together six consecutive quarters of quality football. They did a great job slowing down the vaunted Vikings’ pass rush in Week 2 and should be able to carry that momentum against Washington. The offensive line will hold their own, giving the running game and Rodgers enough space to make plays.
