The FanSided staff of Dairyland Express predicts Sunday’s matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers. Hint: it’s a split on who will win.

Each week, the staff of Dairyland Express will give their predictions for the Green Bay Packers‘ current week’s matchup. Following Week 1, each staff member has a perfect record. It didn’t seem it would go that way, as Aaron Rodgers exited the game on a cart. However, Rodgers returned and erased a 20 point deficit, on one leg. It was unbelievable and fans outside of the green and gold couldn’t begin to comprehend the emotional swing felt by cheeseheads all over the world.

Read below to see if the staff stayed homers, or their is finally some diversity in our picks.

Jim Quinlan (1-0):

Even if Rodgers was 100% healthy this would still be a tough match up for the Packers.  Davante Adams is also banged up and our run defense sure didn’t look great last week.  I think we will still have a shot to win because it’s at home but I think it’s very unlikely the Pack comes out on top.

27-21 Vikings

Michael Wendlandt (1-0):

If Aaron Rodgers plays, and I think he will, then the Packers offense will be able to score points. Using the blueprints that they built in the second half of the Bears game, the Packers west coast scheme will tire out the Vikings and let the offense thrive.

Defensively, it’ll all depend on the defensive line. If Mike Daniels, Kenny Clark, and Muhammad Wilkerson can cause problems for a porous interior of the Vikings, then Kirk Cousins is more likely to make a mistake or two. If he does, and the Packers offense does what is capable of, I see no reason that the Pack cannot get to 2-0.

I predict Green Bay will win 27-20

TJ Bain (1-0):

QB Aaron Rodgers will play this week and will seek revenge against this Vikings defense that is one of the league’s best. The Vikings injured QB Aaron Rodgers last season with a broken collarbone. This could be one of the biggest home games for the Green Bay Packers this season. The Vikings have a new QB with Kirk Cousins taking over the show. OB Kirk Cousins will have more weapons on this Vikings offense than he ever has before. He never has won any big games before in his career, so he has a chance to prove that this Sunday at Lambeau Field. The Vikings defense is no joke trust me when I tell you they are loaded at every position. This game will be close but it will come down to some that Aaron Rodger’s magic.

My prediction for the final score is Packers 28 Vikings 21

Josh McPeak (1-0):

Green Bay needed a heroic performance to win on Sunday Night against the up and coming Bears. On Sunday, they will be tasked with beating the defending NFC North Champions, in the Minnesota Vikings. From top-to-bottom, the Vikings are the better team. Green Bay will likely have a less than 100% Rodgers, or no Rodgers at all. For this reason alone, I’m taking the Vikings.

Vikings 31 Packers 17

Gage Bridgford (1-0):

This game all comes down to whether Aaron Rodgers plays. If he does, even on one leg, I like the Packers chances. There offense looked elite in the second half against the Bears last week. The defense still has some room to grow, but it’ll be interesting to see. Predicting with Aaron Rodgers playing, I’m taking the Pack.

Final Score: Packers 27, Vikings 24

Brian Sampson (1-0):

The Packers will certainly be out for revenge against the Vikings after Rodgers was hurt in last year’s game at Lambeau Field. That extra motivation will certainly help, but it won’t be enough. The Vikings are too talented and too good to allow an injured-Rodgers led Packers to take them down.

Vikings 24, Packers 10

Reports are flooding in that Aaron Rodgers will start today. However, the injury is one that could take two months to fully heal and he will be playing through the pain.

As always, stay tuned to Dairyland Express. With the Badgers loss on Saturday to BYU, it should be an interesting week on here.
