It’s never too early to begin preparing for the 2019 NFL Draft. You know damn well the Green Bay Packers’ front office has already begun their scouting so let’s begin ours. With the Packers holding their own 2019 first-round pick as well as the New Orleans’ Saints, here are ten prospects to know early in the season.

10. Jaquan Johnson, S, Miami

With Ha Ha Clinton-Dix’ pending free agency and Kentrell Brice filling in at the other spot, safety is one of the bigger question marks heading into the 2019 offseason. Who knows what Clinton-Dix will ask for salary-wise in the offseason and who knows what the Packers are willing to pay him. Brice has a lot of questions needed to be answered about his play as well.

That brings us to Jaquan Johnson out of Miami. Johnson is completing his senior season this year and has extensive experience on the field, appearing in 37 games through the first three years. Last season he showed the ability to make plays on the ball-carrier, finishing with 96 total tackles.

At 5-foot-11 and just 195 pounds, he’s a bit undersized, but you would never know it. He loves to play downhill and deliver the boom. Even though he has a lot of experience, his reactions are still a bit slow. However, after leading the Hurricanes in tackles and interceptions last year, he could use another big season to catapult him up draft boards. Right now he’s projected as a late first-round pick.
