Stock down: Justin McCray

Justin McCray was saved by the fact Khalil Mack absolutely dominated Bryan Bulaga on Sunday night. If it wasn’t for Mack’s presence, McCray might be the goat of the Packers offensive line this week.

McCray struggled in just about every aspect of the game. He’s a subpar athlete so quicker and stronger defensive linemen can push him around or get past him quite easily. Such was the case against the Bears, as their superior linemen were able to make life difficult for the first-year full-time starter.

McCray is going to have to clean a lot of his game up in order to survive against the Vikings. Minnesota will trot out bigger and better athletes and give him loads of trouble. Especially with the Packers likely to rely on a quick passing game thanks to Rodgers’ injury, the last thing they can afford is quick pressure right up the middle of the line. There is lots of work for the young man to do and not a lot of time to get it done.
