Stock down: Mike Daniels

Mike Daniels didn’t necessarily have a bad game against the Bears, it was the fact that he was hardly on the field that was the issue. At least by his standards.

According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, Daniels only played 33 out of a possible 70 snaps (47 percent) on defense. That was behind fellow starting defensive linemen Kenny Clark (77 percent) and Muhammad Wilkerson (61 percent).  Dean Lowry was behind Daniels with 21 percent of the plays.

It may have been a sign of things to come for Daniels. It may have been a sign of the game plan in place. Or it may have been a sign of something completely unrelated. Who knows? We may not have the answer right now, but it’s certainly something to keep an eye on. Daniels is used to being on the field a ton so we’ll see if it changes.
